About Andria M. Mushahwar, MD, FACG, FASGE, AGAF
Dr. Andria Mushahwar is a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist practicing in Maitland, FL. He earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry from George Washington University in Washington, DC, where he remained to complete his medical degree. He then completed his internal medicine residency at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN, in 2002, followed by a gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Louisville, KY, in 2005.
Dr. Mushahwar’s distinguished career includes advanced clinical and research training in hepatology. He conducted specialized hepatology research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and was honored with the prestigious Advanced Hepatology Fellowship award from the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD).
A diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, Dr. Mushahwar is highly active in the medical community. He has been named a Fellow of both the American College of Gastroenterology (FACG) and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (FASGE). Dr. Mushahwar specializes in the management of gastroesophageal disorders, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), liver disease, and cancers of the GI tract, with a dedicated interest in clinical research involving inflammatory bowel disease and chronic liver disease.
